Commercial Work

The Plaza Classic Film Festival

We work with the Film Festival annually, starting in 2013 all the way up to 2020 (and hopefully beyond!) Below, you can see how we put together the commercials for the 2020 film festival that was turned into a drive-in theater tour because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of all the outstanding factors, we created a series of ads that utilized original graphics, stop-motion animation, and miniature sets: multiple things we’ve done before and continue to do in all our work.

Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center

Local non-profit Las Americas tasked us with creating a video to celebrate the work they have done to screen at their annual fundraising event that also honors their biggest donors and the immigrants they have directly helped. The video features documentary-style editing, original music, interviews and b-roll of Las Americas itself, and English subtitles for moments where subjects are speaking Spanish. Over the years, we have tweaked this video to include new interviews, cut it down from nine minutes to five minutes, and updated the on screen titles to reflect more current information and to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the organization.

El Paso Kids-n-co.

El Paso’s only non-profit children’s theater, Kids-N-Co. actually helped to develop co-founder Skyler Carreon into the director, writer and actor that he is today. Together Truman Pictures has collaborated with Kids-N-Co. for multiple projects, utilizing sets, locations, props and costumes. Here, we helped create the commercial for their production of Aladdin Jr. as it made its way to the Plaza theater stage in downtown El Paso.

Mother of all branding

Established in 2020, Mother of All Branding is a branding company located in El Paso, Texas. Together with Truman Pictures, Mother of All Branding has been able to show off the products they produce for clients all over the world! Below, you’ll see the video we helped create to promote the merch MOAB made for artist Jim Ward’s latest album Daggers!

children’s defense fund (CDF) texas

‘Our State Our Stage’ was an event at the State Capitol in Austin, Texas designed to help educate students about the ways in which Art and Activism intersect - Artivism!

Featuring a cardboard version of the Capitol that people could add their dreams of a better Texas onto, booths teaching the advantages of printmaking and getting information out through zines, to actual art on canvas and performers reciting poem and singing songs, this was a huge event that Truman Pictures was happy to capture on video and help spread the word of Artivism in Texas!
